DPCU STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS ATTEND THE ANNUAL MID-AMERICA CREDIT UNION ASSOCIATION 2009 SUMMIT - This years Summit was held in Grand Forks, ND at the Alerus Center, June 11th - 13th. Many speakers and breakout sessions were held ranging from robbery training, financial education, communicating with our members using the social web and CUNA's involvement in our communities. The Awards Banquet was held Friday evening. Tim Brown was recognized and honored as "Professional of the Year" and Tana Jensen received the Arnold C. Paulson scholarship for her involvement in the credit union movement. Dakota Plains Credit Union was also recognized for receiving the Desjardin Youth Financial Education Award at the national and state level. Click here to view pictures.
TAYLOR ERICKSON -Taylor has been working as our summer intern in 
the Edgeley office since May 28th. Taylor, is the son of Mick and Lisa Erickson and will be a Senior at Edgeley High School. His hobbies and interests are anything "sports". He currently plays baseball for the Edgeley Legion team. During the school year he plays football, basketball and participates in FBLA. Stop in and welcome Taylor.
CONGRATULATIONS, KINDRA SCHMIDT!! Kindra received a $500 scholarship on behalf of 
Mid-America Credit Union Association for the Dakota's Credit Union High School Financial Scholarship. Kindra was one of 10 recipients to receive the scholarship out of 130 applications. Her leadership, academics and volunteer efforts are a reflection of the credit union philosophy and cooperative spirit of "people helping people".
